He’s telling us two different things!
One of the things you must learn early in your Christian life as you study your Bible or listen to sermons is the ability to establish context.
You will hear a message today that you should be still. Tomorrow, you will hear another one that you shouldn’t shut your mouth.
If you are undiscerning, confusion is already knocking at your door. You wouldn’t know which one is right.
Let me give you this wisdom from Solomon.
“There is a time to speak, there is a time to be silent”
Notice something there?
There is a time to…
Whatever you are to do depends on what time you’re currently in.
The time there represents the context.
So next time you hear your pastor teach that there is no condemnation for you and later he goes on to establish that the Lord can rebuke you sternly.
Don’t get confused just find out what context is being used in each sermon.
I tell people that for every revelation, there is an antithesis that is equally true.
So, don’t get confused, get contextual.
Hope you learnt wisdom?
Let me know in the comments.
